July 14-27
Nelson, BC
The Booster’s Artist-in-Residence program offers studio space, mentorship, and technical and administrative support to empower (emerging) photographers, dance artists, and choreographers in developing their artistic vision through creation, exploration, and performance.
This summer, we are dedicating two weeks—July 14 to 27—to support 4-4 artists as they research, experiment, and master their repertoire in a focused and inspiring environment. In the final showcase, photographers and dancers have the unique opportunity to collaborate, blending their artistry in meaningful ways:
Photographers can work with dancers as models, refining their skills and capturing dynamic movement.
Dance artists receive professional photos—both performance shots, action shots and headshots—to enhance their portfolios.
Dancers can draw inspiration from the photographers' images, using visual storytelling to improvise on spot.
Outdoor Sessions – Photographers can take dancers into nature for creative on-location shoots, merging movement with the stunning landscapes. This collaboration allows both disciplines to inspire, support, and elevate each other’s work!

Lost to the chaos,
A chaos that speaks.
That makes too much noise.
We are restless.
Carving an underground path,
That escapes the noise.
Seeking silence.
A silence that speaks, that flows.
That carries you further—
Carries us all.
Sometimes swift and sometimes slow.
It pulls, it swallows,
It consumes us whole.
Do not stay,
You’ll find the way,
You are the way.
