Meet the Halton candidates

This Friday, September 26, the Oakville Chapter of the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) and the Advancement of Women Halton (AWH) are co-hosting a public All-Candidates’ Breakfast Meeting at Dynasi Family Restaurant, 399 Dundas Street West in Oakville.

Breakfast will start at 7:30 a.m.; meet the candidates will run from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Tickets for the “All Candidates Breakfast Meeting” are $20 each or 2 for $30, available in advance. 

All four candidates in the Halton riding have been invited. The following candidates have confirmed their participation:  Amy Collard (Green), Lisa Raitt (Conservative) and Garth Turner (Liberal).  Candidates will present opening remarks and then the meeting will be open to questions from the floor.

“The All Candidates Meeting will provide an opportunity for those attending to raise issues of importance to our community as well as issues that fall within the scope of our organization’s purposes.” says Cheryl Bailey, President of CFUW Oakville.
