Oakville Horticultural Society

The Oakville Horticultural Society’s 2009 Garden Tour, which takes place Sunday, June 21 from 1 to 4 p.m., is your invitation to journey through the garden gate of some of the finest private gardens in Oakville.

You will visit five Oakville gardens presenting a cross section of gardens with a wide range of plant material and landscape designs. The gardens on this self-guided tour will be open for viewing from 1 to 4 p.m.

You will visit gardens with sunny front yards and shaded ravines, gardens that have been evolving since the late 1800’s and gardens started early this century. 

Wander through quiet woodland gardens with waterfalls to gardens that are challenged each spring by flooding streams in a lush and untamed setting. 

Designer gardens, specialist gardens, cottage gardens, all carefully tended to create year round beauty.

Master Gardeners will be available at selected gardens to answer your specific gardening questions. Members of the Oakville Horticultural Society will be present at all gardens to welcome visitors and to help with enquiries.

The Oakville Horticultural Society endeavors to stimulate an interest in gardening in the youth of our community, and encourages the beautification of public properties. 

Funds raised are used to support horticultural projects in our community.
