Ontario Power Authority at ORC

On Tuesday, March 3 at 7 p.m., at the request of residents in Mississauga South, Ontario Power Authority is hosting a local Public Information Session at Ontario Racquet Club, located at 884 Southdown Rd. This session is further to OPA’s Announcement on January 16, 2009 regarding the contenders to build a new 850MW natural gas-fired power plant in the Southwest GTA, possibly in the Clarkson area, which affects all those who live in the Clarkson Airshed. An Open House will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. ; the public discussion starts at 7 p.m. Local politicians, including Ward Councillor Pat Mullin, Mayor Hazel McCallion and MPP Charles Sousa will be attending. Concerned citizens should attend.
